How to make pre-compost from an organic waste
Size 25 kg and 50 kg
Usage ratio
-
Food waste according to the ratio of each machine size
-
Chopped coconut husks 20 - 40 % of the weight of food waste
-
Microorganisms according to the ratio of each machine size
**Microorganisms researched and developed in the home from natural sources in collaboration with Kasetsart University

1. Separate food waste and weigh

2. Add coconut husks.
20-40%

3. Put food waste according to the ratio of the machine.

4. Add microorganisms according to the ratio of the machine.
Procedure / How to use
-
Weigh the food waste and record its weight in the Application: ShooShoke.
-
Calculate the amount of coconut husks based on the weight of the food waste. coconut husks can be added if the food waste contains a lot of water.
-
Put the calculated amount of coconut husks into the machine.
-
Put organic waste into the machine.
-
Put 200 grams of microorganisms into the machine.
-
Close the cover and turn on the switch on the control box by turning the switch towards green so that the switch lights up green.
-
After 2-3 hours, check the humidity in the machine. If the food waste in the machine is too wet, add coconut husks or other materials such as dry leaves.
-
When 24 hours have passed, open the top cover of the machine to check for any abnormalities before removing the pre-compost from the machine.
-
Then open the bottom cover of the machine to remove the pre-compost from the machine. Close the top cover and turn on the machine to rotate, scoop the pre-compost down into the pre-compost container below, then use a shovel to scoop out the remaining fertilizer from the bottom of the machine again until the container is empty.
-
Put the pre-compost in a bag, open the bag and leave it in a shady place.
Machine operation and maintenance
The machine will work for 30 minutes and rest for 10 minutes automatically.
Do not open the cover while the machine is operating. The machine will automatically stop working to prevent accidents.
Cleaning: Wipe clean only the outside. Do not spray or rinse with water after use. If you want to spray clean, use plastic to cover the electrical parts (control box and motor).
The area where the machine is installed should have good ventilation and not be exposed to rain or heavy rain.
To maintain the motor and shaft assembly, oil or grease the various injection points.
Results obtained from the machine
-
Pre-compost, which has a pH value of 6.2 to 7.2, is neutral and is the ideal pH for growing plants.
-
The resulting fertilizer will be compost that contains secondary nutrients that chemical fertilizers do not contain, such as calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, or other nutrients. This is because it is fertilizer derived from food scraps that we eat, which are beneficial and can bring back animals that live in the soil, such as earthworms and worms. These soil animals are animals that help improve the soil, making it fertile again.
Fertilizer utilization
Fertilizer collection

After getting the pre-compost, if not using it immediately, put the pre-compost in a bag and open the bag and leave it in a shady place for 7-10 days.
Small tree

Put the compost that has been stored for 7-10 days in bags. Sprinkle on small trees, using 1 - 2 handfuls.
per tree
Big tree

The pre-compost can be sprinkled around the canopy of large trees.
